Direct purchase of surplus wholesale stock
Sell surplus stock as a wholesaler
Stock & Trade buys commercial non-food stock directly from wholesalers when items no longer fit the current range, customer demand or desired stock level.
You can offer one defined stock lot even when it contains many item numbers, small quantities per item, different product groups or several stock years. We assess the lot as a whole and discuss whether a direct purchase is possible.

Commercial stock
When saleable stock moves slowly
Wholesalers often hold a broad range so they can supply commercial customers quickly from stock. Actual demand per item may change because customer orders are cancelled, market demand shifts, new product variants appear or the range changes.
The products may remain new and fully saleable while the quantities no longer fit current sales and the desired stock turn. The stock then continues to require warehouse space, working capital and internal attention without contributing to the desired stock level.
Commercial stock
Many item numbers with small quantities per item
Within a broad wholesale range, surplus stock may be spread across hundreds or thousands of item numbers. There may be only a few units of each, making separate sale or processing relatively time-consuming.
Together, however, these small residual positions may form substantial stock. You do not need to split the items into separate offers by brand, product group or stock year in advance.
Stock & Trade can assess the different item lines as one coherent stock lot, provided the items and quantities included are sufficiently clear.
Commercial stock
Periodic stock clearance and range simplification
A wholesaler may periodically review its range against current demand, stock turn and commercial direction. Items that no longer fit the core range can then be brought together as one defined stock lot.
This may involve discontinuing product groups, reducing similar variants, phasing out older generations or removing items sold only occasionally. The stock may remain fully saleable but no longer fit the range the organisation wishes to buy, manage and support actively.
A stock clearance may be one-off or recur at set times. Where comparable stock arises repeatedly, separate working arrangements can be discussed.
Commercial stock
Warehouse consolidation or a supplier change
During a move, warehouse consolidation or merger of sites, not all stock needs to move into the new situation. Duplicate holdings, older stock years or items outside the future range may be identified as a separate stock lot in advance.
A changed or terminated supplier relationship may also leave saleable stock. Arrangements may still apply to returns, a sell-through period, warranty, service or permitted channels. Identify these early so the conditions actually applying to the stock are clear.
An offer may include goods from several product groups or warehouse locations. The assessment requires clarity on which stock is included, where it is held and when it becomes available for transfer.

Which stock data supports the assessment?
An existing export from the ERP or warehouse system may be used as a starting point. You do not need to select a large file manually or convert it into a new format beforehand.
Where available, provide:
- internal item numbers and EAN, model or type numbers;
- brand, product description and product group;
- current quantity per item;
- sales, packaging or logistics unit;
- warehouse location or site;
- stock age or original receipt date;
- last sale date or other recent stock movement;
- range status, such as current, end-of-line or discontinued;
- condition of products and packaging;
- differences or particular features within the same item position.
Not every field needs to be completed for every item at first contact. Preferably share the current export. Stock & Trade then identifies which missing data is genuinely needed.

Direct purchase of the defined wholesale stock
Stock & Trade buys the agreed wholesale stock directly from the legal entity that owns the goods and is authorised to sell them. The defined position may include many item numbers, small quantities per item, several product groups, different stock years or several warehouse locations.
The items and quantities included are specified in advance. Arrangements with suppliers, brands or sales channels become part of the transaction only where they have been clearly agreed beforehand and are workable.
Following transfer, Stock & Trade assumes responsibility for further commercial handling and the resale risk. The goods are therefore not sold individually on the wholesaler’s behalf.

Submit your surplus wholesale stock to us
Does your organisation have saleable stock that no longer fits the current range or desired stock level? Share the existing export from your ERP or warehouse system with Stock & Trade, even when it contains many item numbers, small quantities or different stock years.
You do not need to select or restructure the file in advance. We assess the defined stock as a whole and then identify the additional information required to discuss a potential direct purchase.
