One-off stock lots

Sell a one-off stock lot

Has a one-off stock lot become available within your organisation? Present the complete lot directly to Stock & Trade. No recurring stock flow or long-term relationship is required.

We assess commercial non-food stock based on the products, quantities, condition, location and commercial options. When the lot fits our capabilities, we discuss a direct-purchase offer and clear handling.

A one-off sale without an ongoing commitment

A one-off sale stands alone. You submit one specific stock lot made available by a separate commercial or operational situation. Once it has been completed, no further submissions, fixed supply dates or long-term relationship are automatically expected.

This makes a single transaction a practical solution when stock no longer fits your normal range, sales plan or operations. Stock & Trade assesses the lot as an independent purchase opportunity and determines from its actual composition whether direct purchase is feasible.

If both parties reach agreement, Stock & Trade purchases the agreed goods directly for its own account and at its own risk. We clearly record in advance which stock will be purchased and the arrangements for payment, transfer and further handling.

A first one-off sale may lead to another submission later, but creates no obligation for a future transaction.

A one-off stock lot can be sold as a standalone transaction, without an ongoing relationship or future obligation.

Situations that create a one-off stock lot

A one-off lot may become available through a product range change, overproduction, a cancelled order, the end of a season or project, a packaging change, warehouse move, reorganisation or business closure.

A collected lot of returns, B-stock or demonstration products can also be submitted once. The precise cause matters less than the fact that the stock is available as one clearly defined commercial lot.

Different events can create one specific stock lot offered independently to Stock & Trade.

Make the complete stock lot clear

A one-off submission is a clearly defined lot available together. It may be one item in high quantity or a combination of brands, models, product groups or conditions. It does not have to be your company's full stock or warehouse contents.

State as specifically as possible which goods belong to the lot, including smaller quantities, less popular models, different packaging and items of unknown condition. A mixed composition need not be an obstacle, but must be recognisable in the overview.

You can use existing stock lists, warehouse exports, condition codes and photos. No advance sorting or entirely new file is required. Individual parts, semi-finished products, raw materials and waste streams do not form suitable stock on their own.

Stock & Trade assesses the lot as a whole. If purchasing the complete lot is not feasible, we first discuss whether another clear boundary is possible and suitable for both parties.

Show which goods are available together and reflect the lot's actual composition.

What information is enough for an initial assessment?

Not every detail needs to be final. Existing business information often allows us to determine whether further investigation is worthwhile.

A practical starting point includes:

  • a stock list, warehouse export or other description;
  • brands, product names, model numbers or EAN codes, where known;
  • quantities by item or a reliable estimate;
  • condition and differences within the lot;
  • clear overview and product photos, if available;
  • current location;
  • restrictions or arrangements concerning brand, market and channel;
  • preferred timeframe for decision, transfer or collection.

Where information is missing, state what is known and what remains to be established. We will request specific additions such as photos, condition breakdown, documentation or checks on certain items.

The initial assessment is intended to establish quickly whether the lot offers sufficient grounds for further discussion. A positive initial assessment is not a final offer or purchase decision; further information, verification or inspection may be required.

Use what your organisation already has; we only ask targeted follow-up questions where needed.

How we assess the lot's potential

Stock & Trade assesses whether the stock can responsibly be purchased as a trading lot and placed back on the market. Current, less popular and different items are considered together.

Original purchase prices, recommended prices and book values are useful background, but do not directly determine the possible purchase value. Current demand, generation, condition, composition and resale restrictions also matter.

Practical feasibility counts too. The stock must be sufficiently identifiable, genuinely available for sale and capable of being checked, transferred and transported within the required timeframe.

This commercial and practical assessment determines whether there is enough basis to prepare a specific offer.

The starting point is not the value of individual items, but the feasibility of the complete trading lot.

From stock submission to potential direct purchase

After receipt, we first check whether the information provides enough basis for further investigation. We contact you specifically where additional data or checks are needed. A physical inspection may also be arranged.

Once the goods and their condition are clear, we determine whether Stock & Trade can make a specific offer. It records the goods concerned, price, conditions and practical arrangements.

An offer may cover the full lot or a clearly defined part. If another boundary appears necessary, we discuss it with you first.

You then decide whether to accept. The sale is only concluded after both parties agree and the arrangements are confirmed. Submission, assessment or inspection does not itself guarantee purchase or create an obligation to sell.

Assessment and any checks can lead to a specific offer, after which both parties decide whether the direct purchase proceeds.

Deadlines, transfer and collection

Is there a fixed decision, transfer or collection date? State it in the submission. We assess whether there is enough time to check the stock, record arrangements and organise execution carefully.

After agreement, we confirm the goods purchased, payment terms and transfer date. We also agree packaging and loading, responsibilities and any transport costs.

Stock & Trade can coordinate collection and transport of the goods actually purchased. This is limited to the stock included in the agreed purchase. Remaining goods, equipment and other warehouse contents are excluded; we do not provide removals or full clearances.

If stock is spread over several locations or released in stages, state this in advance so we can assess a combined or phased transfer.

Clear arrangements concerning timing, payment, transfer and transport support careful handling of the stock purchased.

Difference from a recurring stock flow

A one-off lot arises from a separate event and can be sold independently, such as one range change, cancelled project or stock released through reorganisation. No further lots are automatically expected after completion.

In a recurring flow, similar stock becomes available regularly. Products and quantities may change, but returns, surpluses, discontinued items or B-stock form a recurring part of operations. Arrangements for periodic assessments, information exchange and potential purchase may then be useful.

Size does not determine the difference. A large lot can be one-off, while several smaller lots may form a recurring flow. A first one-off sale also need not lead to a long-term relationship.

If you are unsure, submit the stock available now and state whether similar lots are likely later. Stock & Trade will assess whether one-off handling is enough or a recurring method fits better.

We treat one defined submission as a one-off lot; recurring availability may justify ongoing arrangements.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Can I submit the lot while quantities are still changing?

Yes, for example while a clearance sale or project remains open. Mark provisional quantities and state when the final stock will be established. Before a final offer, the goods actually included must be clear.

Can I require the lot to be sold only as a whole?

Yes. State this condition in the submission. Stock & Trade will assess whether purchase of the full lot is feasible. If only another boundary is possible, we discuss this with you first.

Can several companies jointly submit one lot?

Yes, this may be possible. It must be clear which goods belong to each company, who may authorise the sale for each company and how invoicing and transfer will be handled.

Discuss your stock

Would you like to sell a one-off stock lot?

Do you have one clearly defined commercial stock lot available? Send the information already on hand, such as a stock list, photos, quantities, condition and location. A mixed lot or incomplete overview can also be submitted.

We review the stock and tell you whether there is sufficient basis to discuss a potential direct purchase further.
